Baseball Quote of the Day: Dave Winfield

Today we welcome Hall of Famer Dave Winfield, who was as graceful as anyone who played the game. He started with the Padres but became really famous in his days with the Yankees and later winning a World Series with the Blue Jays. Whether making a great catch, hitting a home run or feuding with Reggie Jackson, Winfield was always in the news in New York.

In a matter of a few years, he has turned into one of the best players in baseball. His 2015 numbers were impressive but it was this year, that put him over the top as one of the star's of the league. Though Mike Trout was the MVP, you could easily have made a case for Betts who finished second--.318 BA, 113 ribbies, 31 Home Runs, 26 stolen bases, 122 runs scored and led the league in total bases with 359.
