Hilarious Baseball Quote of the Day for December 4th---Bo Belinsky

There are very few Gen Xers or Millennials who know of Bo Belinsky. That's too bad. He was the baseball playboy of the early-mid 60's. Ann Margaret, Amy Van Doren ('I needed her like Custer needed Indians', Belinsky once said), Playboy Playmates of the Year and who knows who else were part of the women that Belinsky was rumored to 'spend time' (G rated blog) with.

While Belinsky had raw talent (as demonstrated by his no hitter in his first season as an Angel), the conventional wisdom was that his after (and pre) game celebrations greatly hampered his career.

Well whatever the reason, the career 28 win and 51 loss Belinsky was a funny and charismatic guy. He had lots of very funny quotes (including the free one we gave you about Mamie Van Doren). Today's Belinsky quote was about the score of a game he pitched.

In a matter of a few years, he has turned into one of the best players in baseball. His 2015 numbers were impressive but it was this year, that put him over the top as one of the star's of the league.
